Department of Rural Development and Natural Resources Management
The Department’s mission is to teach, research in fields related to rural development and integrated resources management.
Organization: The department has 8 lecturers (04 doctorates, 02 PhD students, 02 masters).
Training: The department has a mission to train undergraduate degrees in Rural Development with general knowledge related to integrated fields in rural areas to manage, organize, and directly participate in various types of agricultural production and business in rural areas.
Scientific research: The department has strengths in multidiscipline research. Staff with diverse expertise focusing on the study of livelihoods in the face of climate change and natural resource changes; community development and gender dimension; planning and rational use of natural resources; water savings irrigation models for different crops; clean and safe agricultural farming systems to meet social needs; research on value chains of typical agricultural commodities in the Mekong Delta.
Short -training: Organize on-demand training courses on topics as increasing community participation in development, climate change and adaptation, clean agricultural farming system, and safe agriculture; planning, rational use and management of natural resources (land, water).
Facilities: Using the laboratory system in the Experimental Area of An Giang University.
